What is something you worked on that you're proud of from your marketing career?

Working at Walmart some Store Managers were worried about their vegetable sales, they noticed neighbours were increasing their vegetable consumption but most of those purchases were going to the competence. This situation was negatively impacting the stores’ profit and increasing food waste. After some market studies in the affected regions, we noticed people around the stores didn’t know Walmart sells vegetables or if they knew, they thought it was expensive or low quality.
To tackle these problems, I develop a marketing campaign to highlight the category and the quality of our products. In the stores, we include signage highlighting products in offer and tips for picking the perfect product in items like bananas or avocados, to call customers’ attention and increase product knowledge. On social media, we create videos showing all the processes of our vegetables from the farms to the stores, and post facts about our processes and some offers, to create awareness and improve price perception. Finally, a section for fruits and vegetables was included in all the push communications with aggressive offers. All these actions resulted in an increase of +15% in rotation and a reduction of waste by almost 10% in fruit and vegetables.


What does your ideal next role look like?

My ideal role has a mix of creative and analytical tasks. It is challenging with room for learning and growth. With the opportunity to contribute with autonomy, and work in a team with wonderful people in an inclusive and collaborative environment.
